I believe that stones/gems/crystals are a gift from the Earth, that contain, concentrate, and transmit energies which are beneficial for vibrational healing; that they are partners in bringing about personal transformation.

I have found that working with stones is very much like working with the Tarot: information is readily available concerning their "meanings" and "definitions" and magical uses, but we only truly get to know them by experiencing them. I therefore highly encourage you to decide for yourself.

The very best way to know a stone is simply to hold it, attune to its vibrations, and listen to your own intuition.

Crystal healing, or crystal therapy, is the use of crystals to influence the body's 'energy field' or aura in order to bring about healing and harmony. Spiritual healers use crystals to healp heal and deal with a wide range of physical and emotional conditions.

Crystal Therapists believe that crystals can tap into the energies of the universe and focus healing energy and resonate with the energies of the body to bring about healing. The crystals, precious and semi precious stones are individually selected for their energies. It is believed that this focus acts to help people heal themselves.

The stones, crystals, gems, including both precious and semi precious, are thought to hold positive energy and they act as a conduit for healing from the healer to the recepient.
In some cases the stone is placed on the body where the treatment is focused, in others it may be positioned on the appropriate accupuncure point. Therapists may use quartz for physical healing, amethyst for spiritual healing and rose quartz to heal emotions. Flourite may also be used to develop awareness of a spiritual nature.
In reiki, three varieties of quartz are commonly used-amethyst, rose quartz and ordinary quartz ( or rock crystal). The crystal structure of the quartz is often taken to be related to the 6 chakras.

It is thought that crystals are magical and empowering. Indigenous peoples have long recognised that stones and crystals are living entities, manifestations of a Great Creative Spirit. Both organic and inorganis gems are surrounded by a radiating energy field.
