Diana's
lifelong love of plants and flowers, and firm belief in the healing
power of touch eventually led her to in-depth study of Clinical Holistic
Aromatherapy
and Therapeutic Massage at the Royal County College of Aromatherapy
& Massage, a well respected training college Accredited by ITEC and
the IGPP. She is an experienced Massage and Aromatherapist, having
gained RCCA & ITEC Diplomas in Anatomy & Physiology Theory and
Therapeutic Massage practice (Distinction) in 1998 and Clinical
Holistic Aromatherapy theory and practice (Distinction) in 1999.
Trained to the highest standards of Clinical Holistic Aromatherapy, Diana is registered with the Aromatherapy Council, the
regulatory register which exists primarily to protect the British
public from therapists who are not competent to practice at the agreed
national standards. This assures you of the highest standards of
Aromatherapy practice.
Growing awareness of the vital role relaxation plays in helping people deal with day to day stresses led Diana to study Hypnotherapy and Clinical Hypnosis under the internationally renowned Psychologist Dr Keith Hearne, BSc,MSc, PhD, at the European College of
Hypnotherapy, a highly regarded training establishment with a
longstanding reputation for excellence and itself a representative
organisation within the UK General Hypnotherapy Standards
Council. After an intensive period of study which included the
history, theory and practice of Clinical Hypnosis and
Hypnotherapy Diana graduated with Diplomas in Hypnotherapy &
Regression & Spirit Release Therapy and holds the General
Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice and is registered with the GHR.
Diana brings a
wealth of experience as a holistic therapist to every consultation,
having worked with autistic adults of all ages in their residential
care homes and many and varied private clients at Greenways over a
number of years. Diana works
closely with clients at their own pace and her
friendly, non-judgemental approach puts people immediately at
ease. Diana has a natural ability to look beyond the presenting
physical or emotional symptoms to uncover the root cause of any
imbalance and consider the wholeness of the individual - mind, emotion,
body and Spirit.
An
experienced Reiki Practitioner since 2001, now a qualified Reiki Master
& Teacher and member of the NFSH, Diana has been trained in the Act
of Spiritual Healing. She is committed to ongoing
Continuing Professional Development and is currently progressing
through the minimum two year requirement of further training, study and
practise towards Full Healer Membership of the National Federation of
Spiritual Healers. She also keeps up to date with the latest research
into the efficacy of essential oils, their purity, and their many
therapeutic benefits. She is currently developing her
growing awareness of the important role of essential oils and flower
essences in vibrational medicine (energy healing).
In
addition to running a private therapy practice Diana is also committed
to volunteer work and trained as a volunteer Samaritan Counsellor in
1990. In the 1980s she worked as a volunteer for MIND and now
volunteers when she can at a Healing Centre for the National Federation
of Spiritual Healers.
