As you can see from reading the Reiki Principles, embarking on your Reiki journey and endeavouring to live by the Reiki Principles is not to be taken lightly. They say that you don't choose Reiki, rather Reiki chooses you, and that when the student is ready, the teacher will appear.

I don't know exactly why you are reading this now; perhaps you are another Healer or Reiki Practitioner, and if so, perhaps we have something to learn from each other. Or perhaps you are someone who is curious about Healing or Reiki and you have stumbled on this website by accident. Or you maybe someone already on your healing pathway, who for a variety of reasons has hesitated in progressing further on your Reiki journey and are pondering the direction of your spiritual pathway.

However, in the language of Universal Energy, when we are operating on an instictive, spiritual level which always works for our highest good, there are no accidents. Coincidences are more than they seem - they are, as explained by Deepak Chopra in his recent book Synchro-Destiny, the Universe's way of synchronising your destiny to the development of your Soul, for your highest good.

Reiki is a gentle healing system that can be learned by anyone whose intentions are honorable and pure. No special intellectual or physical abilities are required, only a genuine desire to heal, specific 'attunements' from a Reiki Master and a preparedness to learn and live by the Reiki Principles, which honor every living thing.

Because it is such an important step in your personal and spiritual development, before embarking on Reiki Training at Greenways it is important that you attend my 'Energy Awareness' workshop described on the Workshops page. This small and friendly group will gently introduce you to healing energy and will help you to become aware of your own and other people's energy, and is a pre-requisite to my programme of Reiki Training. Having become more familiar with 'energy', you may decide that the Reiki path is not for you, and if so, that's exactly the right decision for you.

If you do decide to become attuned to Reiki, you will be more aware of what an exciting and joyful journey you are embarking on, and will be better prepared for the Universal Healing Energies of the Sacred Attunements of Reiki. You can then attend a Reiki First Degree Course.

Reiki 1st Degree is all about self healing. You will learn how to channel Universal Healing Energies to heal yourself and family members, friends and animals.

together with the required case studies, qualifies you to work as a Reiki Practitioner Healer in the field of complementary therapy. You will be able to offer Reiki as a Therapy and will be able to apply to join the Complementary Therapist's Association (Embody) and gain insurance to practice.

Everyone who I attune to Reiki will join my Reiki family, inherit my lineage and benefit from ongoing support for their spiritual development for life. They will also be eligible for 'Greenways Graduates' reduced fees for subsequent Continuing Professional Development courses which are a requirement for Embody annual membership and insurance.
