Without realising, we often use a form self-hypnosis in our internal thinking patterns (talking to ourselves), but this will usually be in a negative sense. If we fear failure, for example, and imagine something going wrong, then no matter how we wish it won't happen, it very likely will, because we have unintentionally self-hypnotised ourselves to do the very thing we were anxious to avoid! Our imagination is a very potent force, for good or bad. In hypnosis, the hypnotherapist is simply talking directly to your subconscious mind and using the power of your imagination in a positive rather than a negative way. Hypnotherapy may help with:
Drinking? (alcohol abuse) Smoking? Coming off anti-depressants? Compulsive 'snacking'? Craving for sweets and chocolate? Gambling? Slimming? Anger? Road Rage? Obsessive Compulsive Disorder? (OCD), Bulimia? Agoraphobia? Claustrophobia? Fear of crowds, heights, spiders, germs, dentists, hospitals, failure, criticism, rejection, public speaking, flying, driving test, exams? Stress? Self-belief? Self-confidence? Concentration? Public Speaking? Memory? Motivation? Self-esteem? Get over divorce? Rebuild trust? Assertive? Self image? Worry? Shyness? Blushing? Stuttering? Dyslexia? Wedding nerves? Lose weight? Child issues - school, bullying, bedwetting, nailbiting, shyness? Emotional healing - sadness, loss, grief, guilt, regrets, jealousy, sexual abuse, memories, nightmares? Healing body & mind - anxiety, panic attacks, headaches, migraine, pain, depression, insomnia, PMS, IBS, chronic fatigue, excessive sweating, post-traumatic stress disorder?
NLP can map the route to get the results you want in all areas of your life:
Reviewing your life journey? Coping with change? Personal development? Thoughts? Moods? Behaviours? Dilemma? Relationship issues? Social life? Career development? Self-image? Performance? Presentation? Public speaking? Interviews? Sales success? Attracting new business? Excellence in Sport?
A hypnotherapist will often combine NLP techniques such as anchors to reinforce suggestions given under hypnosis.
